One of my favorite approaches to increasing event attendance is Event Synergy. I didn’t invent it. It’s always been a thing. Its simply about bringing groups together that have common interests. Then its win-win for everyone. A great example that’s coming up is the Burlington Summer Nights event in Burlington, WA in Skagit County. My client, the incredible soul and funk supergroup Baby Cakes, will be playing an early set as part of the city’s free outdoor concert series.
After writing an article about the Meetup.com group North Sound Singles (@NSoundSgleins), it occurred to me that both Baby Cakes and North Sound Singles have the same goal: to have a fantastic evening of entertainment, fun, and friendship. North Sound is specifically for singles ages 30 to 50 in the Pacific Northwest who want to stay active and meet kind, interesting people–a demographic that tends show up and love dancing to the smooth funk and soul classics and originals that Baby Cakes shares at every show.
I’m happy to have brought both groups together for a fantastic evening on Friday, August 13. Check out both groups and show up to their individual–and shared–events soon.
