iDiOM Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao knew for years that the theater community was outgrowing its space on Bellingham’s Cornwall Avenue. Instead of just finding a larger venue, he and the Board of Directors went for it. They chose to build the new Sylvia Center for the Arts, a space that could be used by virtually anyone in the Whatcom County arts community, including becoming the home of the new iDiOM Theatre.
Not only did he dream bigger than anyone expected, Hergenhahn-Zhao is actually pulling it off through hard work and the support of the community, Pacific Northwest, and the state.
